Cauliflower Ear Surgery

Cauliflower ears and cosmetic plastic surgery can possibly be considered if you didn't treat your cauliflower ear immediately after the injury occurred by draining it. If the deformity has already taken place it is possible that a surgeon could thin down the cartilage that has thickened in the ear, and then reposition the skin over it. This procedure can reduce the typical cauliflower ear appearance a bit. Surgery of course can be very expensive and invasive, especially considering most cauliflower ear injuries can be avoided simply by wearing an earguard or other appropriate headgear during physical activities where there may be a chance of injury.
